This restoration project is part of the MEMOLA projects, coordinated by the University of Granada, which has been launched to analyze the cultural configuration of Mediterranean landscapes. The opening of the canal  will be followed by a party with all volunteers and people from the neighboring village of Canar, who regained part of its heritage.
