This penultimate part of hiking path GR-7 in the area of Las Alpujarras starts in village Busquístar, where we can visit the church Iglesia Parroquial de San Felipe y Santiago and the Cerro de la Mezquita, the ruins of an ancient poblation , which dates back to the Visigothic period, and from whose summit we can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding villages.

Then we reach the most famous water source in Las Alpujarras, Fuente Agria Pórtugos. When reaching Pórtugos we can visit The Churriana with a waterfall and a laundry room inside a cave.

We continue our journey by a path to the south, crossing the small bridge, until we reach the village of Atalbéitar. We follow the road which take us into the rvalley Barranco de Bermejo. We cross the river and follow the irrigation canal, enclosed by lush vegetation.

Reaching the village Pitres, capital of the territory known as the Tahá Ferreirola. Its name comes from the Latin "petra" meaning rock or stone. We continue north, departing from the sixteenth century church, ascending 100 meters to get to the next town.
